Einstein Assessment Project
About the Project

The Fox Valley Einstein Assessment Project is a collaborative effort of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and the Oskosh Area School District (OASD) to evaluate NSRC's Science and Technology for Children (STC) curriculum in local elementary schools.

While teacher training and support for STC have existed in Wisconsin for over ten years, through the Einstein Project (Green Bay, Wisconsin), studies of student learning outcomes have only recently emerged.  To estimate the potential impact of the STC curriculum in the OASD district, we set out to answer questions such as: What gains in student achievement on standardized tests can be expected in the first years of implementation? What types of learning can be expected? How might this learning vary from classroom to classroom? What effect will STC materials have on student attitudes toward science?
